Room 10 visited Wellington Zoo last week.  It was such an amazing and big trip for the children to see the animals they had spent all year learning about.  Here are a few pictures of the children at the Zoo :)

Seeing the sunbear was a real treat! He was exactly how the children had thought he would be.  The sunbear was snacking on a pumpkin.

This is Autahi patting a hedgehog in the discovery room, the children also got to pat a rat and a lizard.

The dingoes walked around the children and we all got to pat them.

The lovely Zoo Keeper gave the children a cool giraffe stamp when we were waiting to feed the giraffes.

Did you know.... Giraffes have 7 bones in their neck just like we do, except 1 fully grown giraffe bone is as big as our head!

And to finish off the day, each child received a cute soft toy of an animal at the zoo!

Milk for Schools!

Today was our first day of having milk at school from Fonterra! What a treat!!

Room 10 were very excited to have their milk

We need to remember to drink all of the milk so we can recycle the cartons.

The recycled cartons get made into house tiles and school books in Thailand :)

Thanks Fonterra!!
